The Challenge

Converting an existing apartment building into a boutique hotel.
After the Christchurch earthquakes a number of buildings have been renovated, or refurbished and this was one of a high profile sites where it required significant design to change its use.

James Bull Access and Security were invited by the building owner Lily Cooper, to work with the project managers and designers.  The new hotel needed a solution for access, that would meet the demanding standards of a boutique hotel and its guests!

The Solution

We liaised with the project architect to write the hardware schedule including the following

• Kaba Hospitality Lodging Swipe card System
• In room safes
• All door hardware
• Keying system

Once finalised all hardware was supplied, fitted, and the Swipe card system installed on Hotels
computer system to allow use of guest swipe cards throughout the hotel. The James Bull team’s solution also included door closers, signage, and some bathroom furniture.
